Vet Workshop Report
Queensland Health and AMRRIC conducted a workshop ‘Provision of sustainable veterinary Services in rural and remote Indigenous communities its objectives were
- to increase the pool of veterinary service providers interested in working in rural and remote Indigenous communities throughout Queensland
- to establish a data base of potential veterinary service providers within Queensland.
- to increase the capacity of the veterinary service providers who intend to work in Indigenous settings
- establish a model for voluntary veterinary accreditation in rural and remote Indigenous settings and establish a formal independent mechanism for evaluation of animal health programs
